ISC World Fastball Tournament
features many
OCDFL players.
It is a
testament to the quality of the players in the Oshawa City and District
Fastball League that many are participating at the highest
level of play, outside
of the ISF World Championships, at the ISC World Tournament in
Kimberley
Wisconsin. Teams and players from Argentina, Australia, Canada, New
Zealand and the United States
participate in this yearly event. This year in fact was
an
All-Canadian final featuring Kitchener Riversharks and the Saskatoon
Aspen Interiors from
Saskatchewan. Todd Martin and Evan
Boyd of
the Aurora Shoeless Joe's team are
members of the winning Kitchener squad. In fact, Mr. Martin
was
named
tournament MVP pitcher and a member of the All World team.
Well done Todd.
Other players participating would find Rino Dambrosio (Aurora), Dave
Fowler (Ravens), Paul Koert (Ravens) and Ted
Kosciesza (Ravens) as members of the Jarvis Gamblers. Mr.
Koert was named to the second All World team for his efforts.
The Gamblers finished a respectable 5th in the 7 day event.
Players also attending, Pat Humphries (Ravens) with the #1

Jeff Wilson (Markham Majors) joined the Vancouver Grey Socks for the
week as they gathered a top 10 finish. Marty Humphries

Brandon Horn (Jr Wolverines) and Nick Dambrosio (Aurora) joined with

second All World Team as Designated Hitter. Congrats
Andy. Also the Wolverines were
voted the Best Dressed Team. Grant Patterson (Celtics) plays
with
Midland Explorers from Michigan as
their main pitcher.
Congratulations from the league and teams to all the fellows.
