The Durham Eagles ( formerly Whitby
Eagles ) of the Oshawa City and District Fastball
League will fly this year out of their new nest (
home diamond ), Oshawa's Durham Fields on Monday
nights, game time 8:30. The Eagles would like to
thank the Whitby Eagles Association for the
support shown them in the 2004 season.
The Eagles have retained only 4 of
last years players, as they are preparing a
stronger lineup for 2005 season.. Last year the
team finished in 6th place in the OCDFL and are
looking to climb the ladder this year. If things
work out right the Eagles hope to secure a berth
in Hillsburg, Ontario for the Ontario Challenge
Cup to compete with other intermediate league
champions from around Ontario .The winner of the
Tournament of Champions will qualify for a berth in the
World Tournament of Champions ISC II in 2006 in
Kitchener, Ontario.
This year the Durham Eagles will
play in several tournaments after their first year
of not competing in tournaments at all.
Stay tuned for our roster and
tournament schedule for this coming season.
