It is but less than two months before the Oshawa City and
District Fastball League ( OCDFL )( formerly Oshawa City and District Softball
Association ) commences League play for its 79th season on May 9,
2005.
In its final affiliation meeting last weekend, Paul Papulkas
delivered a presentation to join the International Softball Congress at the ISC
II level and enter team(s) in the 2005 Ontario Challenge Cup
held in Hillsburgh, Ontario in August of this year. This was accepted by the
League and Paul Papulkas will be our ISC II Liaison Officer between the OCDFL
and the ISC II. Paul will be communicating with the ISC II Executive of Vice
President Bob McGowan and Commissioner Blair Setford.
The OCDFL will be comprised of 17 teams for 2005. There will
be 11 Intermediate, 4 Juniors and 2 Midget teams.
