Chris Jones named to the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame. Chris played for many years in the Oshawa City & District Fastball League
as a member of the always powerful Claremont Rebels. More recently he has been a member of the Oshawa Ravens. As a member of
the Rebels the multi tooled shortstop was a model for all to emulate. The Rebels with his leadership regularly won
the league championship. Jones knows a thing or two about winning gold wearing Canada's colours as well.
Jones was a slick-fielding shortstop who won 12 gold medals at International Softball Congress events,
including three for his country. The Canadian team's 1999 win at the Pan Am Games in Winnipeg remains to this day his highlight
Congrats Jonesy well deserved.

Several current and one time member(s) of the Oshawa City & District Fastball League represented Canada at the
recent ISF Wolrd Tournamnet held in New Zealand. Congratulations to these men for the honour of representing Canada
in international play.
Paul Koert of Aurora Shoeless Joe's and Andy Skelton of the Scarborough Athletics were selected and jumped at
the chance to attend. Newfoundlander now Torontonian, Steve Mullaley who played with the Joe's during the
summer 2012 attended as well. Steve and his maritime buddies put together some haralious clips that are must
viewing. (link at the bottom of this message). A testament to the strong fastball breeding ground that is Newfoundland
as Steve was accompanied by five other born and raised Newfs. Last but not least a young Brandon Horn played in the OCDFL
as a member of the highly successul Scarborough Wolverines.
